Rehabilitation

• Introduction-

            As per the provisions of the  Maharashtra Project-Affected Persons Rehabilitation Act, 1976, 1986, and 1999, the process of verification of eligibility and entitlement of the nominated member from the family of the original project affected person in the submerged areas of irrigation projects in Thane district is carried out, and thereafter, the issuance/transfer of the Project-Affected Certificate is undertaken. Additionally, the rehabilitation-related works of the affected persons under irrigation projects in Thane district, along with other related activities, are carried out through this Rehabilitation Department.

• Documents required for issuing/transferring Project Affected Certificate-

1. Applicant’s application.
2. Original project affected certificate issued earlier.
3. 7/12 of the current land acquisition record and modification of the old land acquisition record.
4. Land Acquisition Notice.
5. Copy of land acquisition award.
6. Land acquisition certificate from the competent authority.
7. Consent letter from the Tehsildar of all the heirs from the original account holder in front of everyone.
8. Affidavit of the genealogy of all the heirs from the original account holder in front of the Tehsildar.
9. Affidavit before the Tehsildar stating that the project affected certificate has not been used, if the project affected certificate has been obtained earlier.
10. Aadhaar card and school leaving certificate of the person in whose name the project affected certificate is to be issued.
